Non-profit educational organisation founded in Montevideo in 1934 by Sir Eugen Millington-Drake. The Anglo offers general English, English for specific purposes, and teacher training and development courses through a network of 48 Anglos distributed throughout the country. It is a Cambridge Assessment English Platinum Authorised Centre and supervises a network of centres that make around 15.000 entries to Cambridge English qualifications every year. In addition, the Anglo offers consultancy services to over 100 external schools and, under the name of The Anglo School, it runs two bilingual schools and is a Cambridge Assessment International Education Associate.

Uruguayan pipe band founded in 1999 which plays mainly traditional Scottish and Celtic music composed or arranged for the highland bagpipes, though its repertoire includes other compositions of different origins. It is a registered non-profit association, whose main objective is to foster Scottish culture and traditions in Uruguay and throughout the region. It plays regularly at charitable, cultural, social and commercial events, as well as a number of local and international music festivals. It is a founding member of the Scottish Pipe Band Association of South America (SPBASA), having organised and hosted the first ever South American Pipe Band Gathering in 2004. The band always plays dressed in traditional Scottish attire.
