Our Society has 429 active members to date.
Membership is open to everyone; you do not need to be British to join. All those interested in all things British or in partaking of British community events are welcome.
Our social and cultural events are designed to promote a spirit of unity, cooperation and mutual support within the British community and anglophiles in general.
Membership costs $600 per year.
Fees can be paid:
- in person to the Treasurer
- through a bank transfer or direct deposit into the British Society account at:
Banque Heritage Uruguay Nº 62582-03.
If done through the bank, a copy of the transfer/deposit slip must be sent to the Treasurer by e-mail (treasurer@britsoc.org.uy) - Pay online at Red Tickets using your debit card from any bank in town.
Members under 18 years of age do not currently pay fees.
Those who have been members for ten years or more and are now over 80 years old automatically become Life Members and do not pay fees.
Our Membership Card allows members to enjoy special benefits not only at Society activities but also at selected businesses around town.
