The Big Lunch is a very simple idea that started in the UK. The aim is to get as many people as possible to have lunch with their neighbours each year on the first Sunday in June in a simple act of community, friendship and fun. Since starting in 2009, thousands of Big Lunches have taken place in all types of communities all around the world. In 2014, 4.83 million people took to their streets, gardens and community spaces for the sixth annual Big Lunch.

Our Society will be hosting this year’s Big Lunch next Sunday 1 June 2014 at The British Schools Pavilion starting at 12 noon until 5pm.

Come along with your family or a friend and bring some food to share!

Wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee will be on sale so there is no need to bring your own.

As for entertainment we will have music and a great array of new games for all ages and a special raffle with many prizes!!!

Entrance tickets will be $100 for members and $150 for non-members. Children under 15 do not pay.
